These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Mind Insurance website and your purchase of any products or services offered by Mind Insurance. Please read them carefully.

When we refer to “Mind Insurance,” “we,” “our,” or “us,” we mean Better Humans Pty Ltd trading as Mind Insurance (ACN 612 225 966).

By using our website or purchasing our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.


1. Who we are

Mind Insurance is an emotional intelligence coaching and consulting practice based in Melbourne, Australia. We offer coaching, consulting, keynote speaking, online tools, assessments, and educational resources to individuals and organisations.

Our courses and structured learning programs are delivered through our sister organisation, the Institute of Emotional Intelligence (instituteofei.com.au). Separate terms may apply to those programs.


2. Eligibility

By using our website or purchasing our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.


3. Services and products

Mind Insurance offers the following:

  • Coaching services — one-to-one personal coaching sessions with Mel Neil
  • Consulting services — organisational EI consulting, workshops, and programs
  • Keynote speaking — speaking engagements managed through Saxton Speakers Group
  • Free tools — assessments and worksheets available at no cost
  • Premium tools — paid assessments and reports purchased through our online shop
  • Digital resources — guides, ebooks, and downloadable content

Details of current offerings, including pricing, are available on our website. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update our services and products at any time.


4. Purchases and payments

All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Payment for online products is processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your credit card details.

For coaching and consulting engagements, payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking or outlined in a separate service agreement.


5. Refunds and cancellations

Digital products and downloadable resources Due to the nature of digital products, we do not offer refunds on assessments, tools, or downloadable resources once they have been accessed or delivered. If you experience a technical issue that prevents access, please contact us and we will work to resolve it.

Coaching and consulting services Cancellation and refund terms for coaching and consulting engagements will be outlined at the time of booking. Generally:

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund or reschedule
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours may forfeit the session fee
  • We reserve the right to reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances

Keynote speaking Speaking engagement terms are managed through Saxton Speakers Group. Please refer to their terms for cancellation and refund conditions.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Mind Insurance website — including text, images, guides, tools, assessments, course materials, and brand assets — is the property of Mind Insurance or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use our content for commercial purposes without our express written permission. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted provided you do not remove any copyright or attribution notices.


7. Third party services

Our website and services may link to or integrate with third party platforms including Saxton Speakers Group, the Institute of Emotional Intelligence, ActiveCampaign, and payment processors. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.


8. Disclaimer

Our website and services are provided on an “as is” basis. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy and quality of our content and services, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or suitability of information on our website
  • The results you will achieve from coaching, consulting, or using our tools
  • Uninterrupted or error-free access to our website or digital products

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.


9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mind Insurance’s liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services or products is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product or service.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our website or services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Australian law.


10. Your conduct

When using our website or services, you agree not to:

  • Use our content or services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation
  • Reproduce or distribute our content without permission
