Leading Remotely – Keeping your Team connected

Working remotely is not new! Many of us are only now experiencing this phenomena for ourselves, but it has existed for many teams and individuals successfully for a long time. This transition is difficult for first timers as they have created working habits that rely on other people being present, easy and fast access to things, stuff and people. Leading is easier because we can address things fast, see things emerging and get input from others easily. Well, these things are just as possible in remote teams, but a different approach is required. Keeping people connected and feeling a sense of team is the hardest part of all.

After this session you will confidently:

  • Create a Positive Climate – Explore how to create a Positive Climate for remote teams
  • Create quality conversations and meetings – Learn how to create quality conversations and meetings from a distance
  • Build competence and confidence – Discuss how to build confidence and competence remotely.

Time Management – Prioritising and Focusing on the Important

Even without the current uncertainty, many of us have challenges prioritising, keeping the most important things on the top of the agenda, dedicating the time and resources they need to be done well and done on time. Traditional Time Management theory and practice has never been robust enough to sustain consistent results over the short and long term. In part this is due to not being able to identify the most important things with ease, and make changes with integrity as unknowns and unexpected challenges present themselves.

In this session you will learn:
  • Time Management Myths – Bust the myths of traditional time management theory
  • Big Rocks – Learn to identify the most important things and put them first
  • Building a brain friendly to do list– Learn how to build a brain friendly to do list that increases your chance of staying true to the most important things.

Building an Emotional Management Toolkit

Our emotional management toolkit is the set of resources we have and use to help us manage and experience our emotions. Our emotions both positive and negative have an impact on the version of us that shows up in each moment. Sometimes our emotion enhances the quality of that version and sometimes our emotions detracts from the quality of that version of ourselves. The better quality toolkit we have and the better we learn to utilize that toolkit, the better we are at managing the impact our emotions is having on us, allowing us to manage our experiences in a more healthy, productive and mindful way. This is good for us and those around us. So, how is your toolkit?

This session will provide you with tips on how to:
  • Evaluate your current toolkit – Evaluate your toolkit and what you have got in it
  • Identify gaps in your toolkit – Understand how you are making use of the tools in your toolkit
  • Develop an action Plan to enhance your toolkit – Identify gaps in your toolkit and create an action plan to enhance the quality of your tools and how you use them.
